Support the Trade and Economic Team:
• Receive, send and translate verbal notes and other documents
• Contact, liaise and arrange appointments with relevant Chinese authorities
• Monitor legislative developments and the media to collect and compile reports in English on trade and economy
• Assist English-Chinese interpretation in meetings and during visits
• Coordinate high level delegation visits
Another role as Embassy Events Manager:
• Administer event related materials such as guest lists, invitations, speakers
signs, event programs and other printouts
• Event correspondence and liaison
• Serve as the point of contact at events and meetings at the Embassy and to support with the smooth event production
• Coordinate event production kick-off, walk-through, and lessons-learned meetings
• Contribute to the development of annual events plan in collaboration with line manager and the needs of the Beijing Chapter.
• Develop and execute ideas and concepts for business themed events. Develop relationships with speakers and potential speakers.
• Promote events via Chamber’s newsletter systems.
• Ensure smooth on-site management of all events including seminars, forums, summits, dinners, and networking by implementing standard operating procedures.
• Lead the organization of logistics including venues, invitations, speakers, marketing, and advertising, procurement of goods and services and funding of each event.
• Be responsible for the regular and accurate event reporting and forecasting.
• Work effectively with other colleagues in the execution of events where content is driven by other departments/colleagues.
• Provide support to the high-level meetings assigned by the senior management team including but not limited to Advisory Council meeting, Annual General Meeting, etc.
• Identify topics for events in coordination with Government Affairs team.
• Generate revenue for the Chamber
