Responsible for the complete SCADA system design and delivery for the 1.4GW project built as an iron dome complying to IEC62433. The SCADA system consists of a full geo-redundant solution with a stretch cluster and 3 redundant power plant controllers. Multiple HV topologies increases the complexity of operation and control philosophy as turbines can float between multiple control loops.
Responsible for the complete SCADA package design and delivery for the 950MW project. Special devilries for the Moray project include full redundant power plant control and interface and a high availability hardware cluster.
As Scada Trainee, I have been given the opportunity to work on both service sites and new projects. The role involved learning how to design and implement control systems, including electrical, instrumentation and automation systems.
