Work History

Postdoc

Weischenfeldt group, BRIC/Finsenlab, University of Copenhagen
11.2022 - 6 2024
  • Continued work on the Pan-Prostate Cancer Group cohort (PPCG) and contributed with bioinformatics analyses to the leukemia cohort derived from The Program for Translational Hematology (PTH)
  • Supervised a PhD student in one of the project aims.

PhD student

Weischenfeldt group, BRIC/Finsenlab, University of Copenhagen
11.2018 - 11.2022
  • Used bioinformatics analyses on large data, primarily the Pan-Prostate Cancer Group cohort, with a focus on complex structural variants and mutational signatures for cancer diagnostics.

Research assistant/bioinformatician

Helin Group, BRIC, University of Copenhagen
03.2018 - 11.2018
  • Facilitated downstream analysis of NGS data for the group members and generated bioinformatics pipelines.

Bioinformatician

Computational Biology Laboratory (Elena Papaleo) at the Danish Cancer Society Research Center (DCRC)
05.2016 - 02.2018
  • Worked with analyzing RNA-seq data for different research groups
  • Developed scripts for research purposes, including an R package for quantification and analysis of lipidomics data
  • Supervised a Master Student and taught basic GitHub and Python programming.

Motivation

After reading the Sr/Lead Data Scientist job description with great interest, I can really see myself in this position. Through my work I have vast experience in working with omics data as well as developing methods to analyse large data sets. I also have both experience and a deep interest in machine learning and I have experience in supervising master’s and PhD students. All in all, I think it would be an amazing opportunity for me to be part of the AI and Analytics Team and contribute significantly with my competences and experiences in the field of bioinformatics. I hope I will get the possibility to elaborate the abovementioned qualities in a personal interview.
