  • Transformation of Voice of America facility in Iranawila, Chilaw, Sri Lanka into a COVID-19 Treatment Center, 2020, Transformed an abandoned Voice of America building complex in Iranawila, Chilaw, Sri Lanka, into a state-of-the-art COVID-19 isolation and treatment facility. Executed within a two-week period (March 23, 2020, to April 10, 2020), overcoming limited financial and physical resources. Ensured maximum safety for healthcare staff, adhering to international infection disease management principles through administrative and environmental controls.
  • Establishment of 24 bedded health care facility at the national hospital for respiratory diseases (NHRD) of Sri Lanka for COVID-19 infected patients with active tuberculosis., 2021, Pioneered the establishment of a dedicated ward at the National Hospital for Respiratory Diseases (NHRD) for COVID-19 infected patients with Tuberculosis. Addressed the unique challenge of co-infection, providing the only health facility in Sri Lanka for such cases.
  • Establishment of a Fully Functional Dedicated Obstetric Operating Theatre at Base Hospital, Marawila, 2017, Established a dedicated Obstetric operating theatre at Base Hospital, Marawila, enhancing productivity with limited resources. Received support from well-wishers and Medical Aid to Sri Lanka - UK.
