Responsibility

• Manager of the Culture Collection department (9 FTE), which are responsible for delivering molecular biology solutions for Chr. Hansens largest business segment, food, and curating the Chr. Hansen Culture Collection.
• Resource allocation and people development
• Stakeholder management both within R&D but also across the whole value-chain

Achievements

• Implemented a customer centric structure to deliver on Technical Service Requests.
• Implemented new- and reduced cost on existing technologies, to ensure a agile, innovative and cost-efficient approach for the departments services.
• The department was created following a re-organization in R&D, introducing team members from different areas. Managed to create a high team sprite, trust and a elevated scientific level by combining the new team members strengths.

Achievements

• Established strong partnerships with other institutions via collaborative research projects
• Secured external funding for research projects by writing competitive grant proposals
• First author on two papers and one book chapter and co-author on two additional papers

Supervision of M.Sc. and B.Sc students, reviewer, lab-manager, collaboration with Michael O'Connor (USA) and domestic partners at KU.

Supervision of M.Sc. student, translational science in collaboration with Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen, Denmark.
