Projects

23/04/2024, CURRENT, Ambulatory handing out of medicines to reduce waste, This project aims to explore the dispensing of medications to patients in ambulatory care settings, especially in capital region of Denmark, with a focus on reducing medication waste. The proposed solution to reduce waste is the implementation of a "Medicine box" system, which provides patients with larger quantities of medication to take home, compared to the traditional method of personally visiting the clinic for each refill. This approach aims to streamline the process and reduce unnecessary visits to the hospital while minimizing medication waste. During the process, conflicting priorities may arise, such as balancing patient convenience with minimizing waste and reducing workload of nurses. In this project, we are fighting to find a solution to innovate the existing system, and attempt to improve sustainability, especially the social aspect.
