Learning & Skills Development Experience Lead

In my current role in the LEGO U team, I’m empowering colleagues and people leaders to build the skills they need to excel in their roles today and shape their careers for tomorrow.

With technology as a key lever, I design and implement solutions that enable skill discovery, development, and growth at scale. Whether it’s leveraging advanced tools, creating clear skill frameworks, or driving innovative approaches to upskilling, I ensure all colleagues have the support they need to navigate their unique skill journey.

Senior Skills Development Manager (Expatriation)

LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam

In this role, I was part of the local leadership team to establish and develop the organization for our new factory in Vietnam.

  • Establish and lead the local L&D team.
  • Leadership Team Development – Design, develop and deliver leadership team development activities for the newly established LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam leadership team
  • Leadership development – Local roll out of global leadership development programme
  • People & Culture lead – Define and deploy local strategy to create sense of belonging to the LEGO culture and building the skills for +300 new colleagues (both hourly and salaried)
  • Onboarding experience – designing new process and materials for local onboarding.
  • Capability building – Working across manufacturing streams to effectively build the capabilities for first batches of local operators, technicians, and trainers.

Global L&D Manager

In this role in the central L&D team, I was overseeing our learning technology landscape and managing our communication & engagement strategy/plan. Since I started in this role in December 2018 my responsibilities have been:

  • Business lead for Workday Learning global implementation (new global LMS)
  • Selection, implementation and support of LinkedIn Learning
  • Global roll-out of LMS365 and support for all LEGO Academies
  • Development, deployment and maintenance of the global LEGO Learning Hub
  • Project member for LEGO U – Taking part in the early stages of the strategic L&D project to make the LEGO Group a skills driven organization.
  • Development of the global internal comms & engagement strategy for L&D at the LEGO Group, including conceptualization and development of our content series (Learner Spotlights, Webinars, Monthly Spotlights and L&D Newsletter)
  • Defining and designing a learning program about change leadership at the LEGO Group (Leading Change) with an external vendor.

As global L&D Manager I was the owner of our learning principles and responsible for ensuring that we have the right mindset, tools and technology to promote and anchor a strong learning culture. Hobbies and Interests

I’ve just returned from Denmark after living in Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City) with my family while being expatriated for 2 years by the LEGO Group. Now I live in Denmark with wife Charlotte and our 6-year old twins Thea and Klara. I also enjoy being active, so I spend a lot of time outdoors running and cycling around beautiful Vejle. Being a fan of outdoor life I’m also into hiking, where my most recent achievement was reaching the top of Kilimanjaro., Despite all the hiking, running and cycling, I find myself very down to earth, and thus, I like to relax and listen to my old blues and rock records and play guitar. I also spend a lot of time in the wild with my beloved camera (+long lens) to do a lot of Danish wildlife photography. I’m a foodie, so I seek food experiences as a hobby, and spend a lot of time in the kitchen cooking for family and friends.
