
Final-year Integrated Master’s student at the Department of Biological Applications and Technology, University of Ioannina (https://bat.uoi.gr/en/). Currently, I am conducting my Master’s Thesis at Genome Biology Lab, under the supervision of Prof. Vijay Tiwari at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU).
As a core member of an international competition group, I can quickly adapt to new situations, integrating with the team. I am able to communicate scientific topics and troubleshoot keeping a good teamwork experience. I am passionate and I love to acquire new skills.
During organizing a European student conference, I secured high-profile speakers, raising the overall prestige of the conference. Managed to increase event attendance through effective marketing strategies and targeted outreach efforts. Designed an engaging and relevant to the field of biology program. Coordinated accommodation for all participants and got in touch with sponsors, ensuring smooth functioning of the conference.
An internship at the Histology and Embryology Laboratory, under the supervision of Prof. V. Gorgoulis was my first contact with biological research. There I conducted literature reviews to identify relevant research articles and support project objectives. I received advanced knowledge on cellular senescence and melanoma cancer research. I was able to work independently performing immunohistochemistry and immunocytochemistry staining.
As a volunteer in a world wide conference, I collaborated efficiently across teams, ensuring seamless operations throughout each day of the event, enhancing attendee's experience. Helped improving the overall event organization and played an integral role in the successful execution of the event, resulting in positive feedback from conference organizers and attendees alike.
As a member of Brain Awareness Week (BAW), I was able to enthusiastically communicate science with attendees. Responding to questions regarding neuroscience and brain functions, while maintaining good coordination of the event.
