Projects

  • 2021-Present: Point-of-care instrument for diagnosis and image-guided intervention of ColoRectal Cancer (PROSCOPE), Intends to develop a new endoscope that provides improved in-depth diagnosis and immediate point-of-care detection of cancerous lesions in the colon for effective treatment of CRC. In collaboration with the University of St. Andrews, ALU Freiburg, MUW Vienna, Grintech GmbH, MSL Glasgow, Ovesco, and University Hospital Freiburg.
  • 2023-Present: MIB
  • 2018-2021: Two-photon Selective Plane Illumination Microscopy through Fiber (T-SPIF), Worked towards the implementation of two-photon excited light-sheet microscopy (TPLSM) into endoscopes, a necessity for clinical adaptation for early stage cancer diagnostics. In collaboration with DTU Fotonik, the Univeristy of Lille, the University of St. Andrews, and OFS.

  • 2023: Novo Nordisk Exploratory Interdisciplinary Synergy Programme, Ultrafast, lensless nonlinear microscopy for real-time mapping of living brain activity at cellular level - 0086761.
