Key focus areas:

  • Engaging with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide expert advice and recommendations on GIS solutions and strategies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Ensure efficient cooperation within internal multi-functional and multi-national teams to deliver on time and within budget.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project completion.

GIS Consultant

COWI
03.2019 - 05.2023

Over the four years I was stationed in Nuuk as a GIS consultant, my responsibilities evolved significantly, reflecting the dynamic nature of the role and the unique challenges of being the sole permanent representative of COWI in Greenland.

  • Technical expertise and implementing GIS solutions tailored to local client needs.
  • Facilitated smooth project execution by maintaining strong relationships with key local stakeholders.
  • Facilitated GIS courses and technical support for local authorities.
  • Engaged in sales work, leveraging close connections to the local society to identify new business opportunities.
  • Played a key role in shaping the department's approach to projects and initiatives in Nuuk.

GIS Consultant

COWI
06.2017 - 03.2019

Generalist GIS consultant with focus on efficient data-transformation and data-analysis.

Specialized in efficient data transformation and analysis, I leveraged GIS to deliver impactful solutions.

Key Achievements:

  • DMI Station Management System: Played a pivotal role in the creation of an ArcGIS-based Station Management System for the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI). Contributed to the development of the initial dataset by aggregating new data with existing data from their legacy databases.
  • Digitization of Municipal and Local Plans: As part of Erhvervsstyrelsens initiative to digitize all existing municipal and local plans, I automated the data gathering and aggregation processes from multiple sources. Managed the PostgreSQL database, ensuring regular backups, and provided technical support to GIS Specialists in QGIS.
