Pernille E. H. Madsen

As a newly educated cand.scient in biology, with a specialization in molecular biology and genetics, I have gained ´the newest knowledge within the field of molecular biology and possess an eagerness to use and expand on this knowledge.

During my studies I have been taught about the biology of several model organisms such as E. coli which I have used for experimentations in my bachelors thesis, B. subtilis, A. thaliana and D. melanogaster.

Using biology and strain engineering to discover new knowledge is to me exciting on its own, but using it to contribute to some of the modern worlds most difficult and important tasks like the transformation from a petroleum-based production to a sustainable bio-based industry, takes this excitement to a higher level.
