A varied career has provided me with a broad foundation of experience, from my work as an officer in the Norwegian Defense to being a chef and cabin crew in SAS. I've been placed in various roles where there has been a strong emphasis on safety, service, and precision. Throughout my career path, I've been tasked with solving complex tasks, acquiring essential knowledge in practical leadership, excellent teamwork skills, and communication. I am accommodating, decisive, engaged with people, and not afraid to try new challenges and learn about new work areas
The Armed Forces assisted with border control by helping the police with entry registration, checking COVID-19 certificates, organizing stays at quarantine hotels, and referring individuals for COVID-19 testing.
As a cabin chief, one is responsible for safety and service in the cabin on European and intercontinental flights.
As part of the SAS Cabin Crew, I am responsible for ensuring top-level safety and for organizing and coordinating the service on board SAS flights to the USA and the Far East.
As Sous Chef, I was the second-in-command in the kitchen, responsible for planning and executing daily operations, as well as training apprentice chefs.
I was an apprentice chef at Fauske Hotel for 3 years. In the second year, I went on an exchange program to Lyon, France, at Paul Bocuse. During the last six months of my apprenticeship, I went on an exchange to Berlin and the Norwegian Embassy, where we worked on promoting Norwegian food culture to the German population.
As a First Lieutenant, I have leadership responsibility for 35 men and women, where approximately 9 days a year, I conduct a lesson plan in practical leadership and subject-specific training tailored to our soldiers and the various missions.
After being selected for the Jaeger Corps, I began the officer training offered by the Armed Forces, where I worked on the Norwegian-Russian border from the summer of '08. My main tasks included managing the operations center, preparing and delivering briefings, processing and analyzing intelligence information reported by patrols. Additionally, I conducted courses and lessons for new soldiers in the execution of the Border Company's peace and readiness missions, including patrol, observation, and field service. The service in the Border Company is of a special nature and places particularly high demands on the individual.
