I am a motivated 5th year law and commerce student at the University of Canterbury. I am a determined student with a desire to further my knowledge in my fields of study. I have had experience in both collaborative and autonomous environments. Above all I consider myself to be energetic, eager and prepared for the next step in my legal journey.
In the summer of 2023/24 I interned at PwC Ōtautahi within Business Consulting. Atop of being a brilliant learning opportunity, this experience exposed me to working in dynamic environments where people skills and problem solving were essential.
Over the summer of 2022/23 I was an intern in the corporate legal department of Health New Zealand. This role focused on a wide range of tasks, comprising of contractual and medico-legal centric work. During my tenure at Health New Zealand, I was responsible for a range of contractual review tasks and liasons with the Health and Disability Commision.
I am on the board of governance for Conductive Education Canterbury. Conductive Education works with developmentally delayed children and those with disabilities in their early education. Additionally, I am currently volunteering for the Cancer Society in Christchurch for their 'Fresh Air Project' initiative.
In 2021 I partook in the volunteer New Zealand Student Consulting program. I was assigned to consult with an infrastructure company on ways to mitigate their fuel waste. This involved working in a group to create and present an alternative use for used fuels. I also have experience volunteering for 180 Degrees Consulting in 2023. This project focused on the development of equal opportunity to sport for underprivileged Christchurch children.
I was the University of Canterbury Commerce Society (UCom) Industry representative for 2023. This role will required for me to establish connections within the industry and provide opportunities for members.
I was an academic tutor at College House Hall. I have found the role to be deeply rewarding and oversaw success in the students that I taught.
